Chili Roasted Walnuts with Cranberries

1 oz. unsalted butter
1 lb Avanti walnuts
1 Tbs mild chili powder
2 tsp Ground cumin powder
2 tsp Ground white pepper
1 Tbs Salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp cayenne powder
1/2 lb. dried cherries
*You can add almonds and dried cranberries if you would like.

Melt the butter in small sauce pan. Coat the nuts with melted butter. Mix all seasonings together. Mix nuts with the seasonings. Place the nuts on a large sheet pan and lightly toast in a 325 F oven for 8 minutes. Shake the pan occasionally. Transfer nuts to a large bowl and mix in dried cherries. Cover in a airtight container and store at room temp.
